July 2010: Six months post-earthquake things have definitely improved, yet they still have a long way to go. In the past six months, MFM has seen numerous people step up to answer the needs that are dominant in Haiti. Numerous individuals, churches, and businesses donated to assist Mountain Faith Mission in the attempt to aid the people of Haiti.
Presently, financial support is still needed. There are still building projects that are under way for Mountain Faith Mission. As the earthquake hit, Mountain Faith Mission lost three buildings and over 1000 feet of the wall surrounding the compound. The boy's dormitory for the children's home was completely destroyed, but was rebuilt by a team in May.
Presently, a team is planning to set up in Saut d'Eau in the first week of August to assist in medical needs in the area. Mountain Faith Mission was the first team to answer the call in Saut d'Eau six weeks after the quake. This will be mainly a follow up trip to many of the needs that were first met. Many of the people who had needs, were unable to receive proper treatment, and thus, MFM will again answer the call.
Please be in prayer for our medical team, as well as our team headed in at Labor Day for the annual Vacation Bible School.
If you have not donated yet, please consider donating to MFM.
